Welcome to the
150th Great Yorkshire Show

The Great Yorkshire Show is the North's leading agricultural event and takes place from Tuesday 8 to Thursday 10 July on the 250-acre Great Yorkshire Showground on the edge of the spa town of Harrogate.

2008 will be the 150th Great Yorkshire Show and will be a celebration of agriculture and country life. The Main Ring is the hub of the Show - providing a wonderful setting for international Show Jumping and our World-Class Cattle Parade.

The 250-acre site is filled with animals, country demonstrations, have-a-go activities and the Great Yorkshire Cheese & Dairy Show. Plus there's fashion, rural crafts and shopping!

The Yorkshire Agricultural Society is delighted that Buckingham Palace has announced that Her Majesty The Queen and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh will be attending the 150th Great Yorkshire Show.

This year, ITV Local Yorkshire will be featuring archive clips from previous shows including the Queen's Silver Jubilee visit in 1977. There'll also be an opportunity to upload your videos and photos to help complete their record of Yorkshire's favourite agricultural show.
